Description

Funagata Volcano is a stratovolcano, meaning it is a tall, conical volcano built up by many layers of hardened lava. The volcano is located on the border of Miyagi Prefecture and Yamagata Prefecture in Japan. Mount Gosho is 1,500 m high and is the highest point in the Funagata volcano and Sendai itself.
